Mary Begley of Laharn, circa 1910. Her brother Ed Begley when on to become a famous Academy Award winning Actor in America. Her other brother Patsy Begley was a founding member of the Laune Rangers and was also one of the first people at the scene of the Ballykissane tragedy when a car carrying four Irish Volunteers drove into the river Laune on Good Friday Night in 1916. Resulting in the deaths of three of the Volunteers.
