An ongoing project, documenting the men and women from our parish who served in the First World War, is being conducted under the auspices of the Killorglin Archive Society. Our intention is to find relatives of these men an women and to ask their permission to share family information and memorabilia with the wider public. To Date we have been given access to a number of treasured items including a diary from the East African Front, an inscribed Bible and a postcard from the Western Front, along with several photographs, memorial plaques and medals.
If readers have information about family members from Killorglin Parish who served during WW1, we would be most grateful if you could get in touch with the Archive Society.
