Christy Purcell married to Nell Moriarty. They had their first child John who was born in May 1938. Christy who is photographed in uniform was in the British Army in World War 2 and was at one stage a Prisoner of War. On returning to Ireland they settled in Scrahan. They had a family of twelve.
