The colourful barrel top wagons pulled in by the side of the Killarney Rd. The travellers liked to pull in here as it was near the River Laune ,an d so convenient for washing ,cooking , and drinking water for their horses . The Grove , a well known Killorglin landmark , is to be seen top left. The workers in the field are making cocks of hay , a system used long before the advent of the baling machine. circa 1950’s
