PIC SHOWS: Rudy Eugene, 31, who was shot dead by the Miami-Dade Police when he refused to stop eating 65-year-old homeless man Ronald Poppo’s face in a cannibalistic attack in Miami on May 26 2012. The victim is currently critically ill in hospital. Eugene is shown here in an undated arrest photo released by the Miami police department. Eugene is believed to have been under the influence of the highly potent ‘bath salts’ drug and was gnawing, chewing and ripping at Mr Poppo’s face and was shot several times when he refused to stop. Both men are believed to have been homeless and naked at the time of the attack on Saturday which happened near the Miami Herald newspaper HQ. Bath salts are said to cause the temperature of the user to rise sharply, causing them to strip off to cool down and become aggressive through delirium.
