Crazed teen high on ‘superhuman’ drug flakka ‘attacked mother and son after cannonballing through their window’ weeks after cannibal killer case-media-7

A Florida student has been arrested after officers found him “bitting flesh off the face” of his victim in a suspected double murder. Austin Harrouff, 19, was arrested on Monday evening following the alleged incident in Tequesta, Florida. Harrouff, who was believed to be under the influence of drugs, stabbed John Stevens, 59, and his wife Michelle Mishcon, 53, as they sat in the garage of their family home. It is believed he then stabbed a neighbor who attempted to save the couple. When officers arrived on the scene they found the student, who has no previous arrests, bitting flesh off the face of one of his victims. An officer attempted to pull Harrouff off the body and even tasered him but was unable to stop the attack. Two more officers eventually arrived on the scene and were able to subdue Harrouff with the help of a police dog. MCSO Sheriff William Snyder said: “He was biting the victim on the face and actually removing pieces of his face with his teeth. This appears to be a completely random attack. We believe he was under the influence of drugs but we need to await a full toxicology report to be certain”. Harrouff was taken to hospital for his injuries and placed under police custody. The neighbor is currently in hospital with severe injuries. Police do not believe Harrouff, who attends Florida State University, knew the couple but lives in a nearby town with his mother. Tequesta is a small, affluent community on the Atlantic coast about 20 miles north of Palm Beach.
