There are roughly 400 known ogham inscriptions on stone monuments scattered around the west coast of Ireland, particularly in Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula , the bulk of them dating to the 4th and 5th centuries. The inscription is predominantly Gaelic. There is a famous collection in Beaufort, Kerry. The ogham inscription on the photo reads ‘Killorglin Archive Society’ – Cumann Cartlann Chill Orglan.
