Johnny Patterson 1840-1889, was born in Kilbarrron, Feakle, County Clare. He wrote Killorglin’s oldest and greatest love song ‘Bridget Donoghue’ who lived in Main Street, Killorglin. He was a famous Clown and Songwriter whose many compositions are still heard to this day. He was commemorated in Killorglin in 2010 when a verse of his song ‘Bridget Donoghue’ was unveiled on a limestone plaque as part of ‘The Puck Poets’ project. Ref: F313
