Under the shadow of the Laune Bridge at Killorglin, the fishermen of the K.R.D. firm pose for the traditional photograph taken in 1954 prior to the annual blessing of the boats.  January 17th is the official opening day for net salmon fishing in the River Laune.  Succeeding generations of the families seen here have manned the boats.  FR.
